My daughter is a chocoholic and she also loves her coffee. She loves every drink I make based on these two ingredients. So for this summer, I wanted to make her a drink which will awe her. I kept it as a secret from her. I made the mocha and refrigerated it two days back. And on the day of serving, she was so surprised that I took out the cream and was whipping it with some coffee. As she knows that I will never taste that cream, it can mean only one thing, it was for her and she started nagging me with questions. What are you doing? I said surprise!
When I was assembling the drink and taking some snaps, she just couldn’t wait. I have been starving for a long time. After I have started with my diet, I have become so health conscious, that I have stopped making all of her favourite dishes saying they are not good for health. Today morning I was mixing ganache for a cake project. She just couldn’t stay away. She was just following me everywhere and finally I gave her the spatula so that she could lick it. I know it is so cruel but I just want her to be healthy. I will be very happy if she understands why I do all this. Hope it happens someday. Coming to this cold mocha, she loved it so much. As it is a tall glass, she couldn’t even finish it. She loved it to the core and I am so happy that I could atleast give her something she loves just for a day or two.

Wow mouthwatering Gayathri it’s my favorite too…
The cold mocha sounds so refreshing ! It’s always good to make children aware of a healthy diet , and you are doing a great job with it , but Shruti is too young , you can give her her favourite food once in a week , and yes even I would like to lick that spoon . Ha ha !
Thats such a refreshing drink Gayathri. Wish I could have it now 🙂 And don’t worry about shruti. She will figure it out herself soon what is good and not. It took me 30 years to do that! hmmm.
given the amount of sugar and butter that goes into each bake and the frequently of our baking, our kids would resemble sumo wrestlers if we don’t put restrictions. So don’t feel guilty, she will thank you one day for making her see the reason. Love doesn’t always have to be expressed in cakes The drink looks delicious btw
Alluring cold mocha, feel like finishing that glass rite now.. Too tempting to the core.
Beautiful clicks and the drink looks so yum!..I feel we can indulge the kids if not daily. However, I have come to realise that they think they can do it everyday..so its good when you make your daughter understand that. I find it so hard to do the same with mine..
A tempting drink… would love to have it…. haven’t had one in a long time. I remember when we were growing up sweet things were given only on special occasions. Nowadays there’s just too much sweet treats available readily.
I love cold coffees.. your mocha version looks great. Letting kids indulge once in a while is okay. Unhealthy foods should never be a norm. you are doing great dear
That is such a creamy and delicious drink. Lovely clicks.
Shruthi will understand gayathri, besides you are making great dishes that are healthy! Love this cold mocha, looks sooo refreshing!!! me too love cofee and chocolate!! My favorites! 🙂
