For the second day of South American cuisine, I am sharing an easy breezy recipe from Chile. I was looking for easy breezy recipes, and this one is the first one that got into the list. And this is also the first dish to be made. Usually milk shakes are so rich because of the ice cream added, but this milk shake is quite simple and not too creamy because it involves milk and bananas. Sometimes cream is added but mostly only milk is used so this is very light compared to the milk shakes. Bananas add a wonderful flavour and this is quite famous drink among children in Chile.
As Sruti loves bananas, I was sure that this milk shake would go well with her. I reserved one ripe banana just for this drink and made it when she came home from school. Adding ice cubes and pulsing it in a juicer jar ensures that the milk shake is quite frothy and leaves a mustache. She loved it so much and finished it off in seconds. I know I need to make it again for her, but I also know that I don’t repeat dishes because it is not very good for the blog! Hahaha!
Ingredients:
Banana – 1
Chilled Milk – 1 cup
Brown Sugar – 1 tbs
Ice Cubes
Procedure:
In a juicer jar, take all ingredients.
Pulse until smooth and frothy.
Pour into serving glasses and serve immediately.
