I have never made hot chocolate. I know it is really silly to have not made it, but as I have seen that hot chocolate is always topped with marshmallows, I didn’t even think of making it. When I saw the event Kid’s Delight hosted by Kalyani is based on chocolates, I wanted to give it a try. As my daughter is crazy of chocolates in any form, I selected the theme. And my first dish would be hot chocolate without the marshmallow topping. I read so many recipes and saw that each and every recipe differs in quantity of ingredients. So I came up with one to suit my daughter’s taste. And I should say that it was a huge success. She finished her cup and came back for a second cup. And making hot chocolate is also very easy.
It needs sugar, milk, cocoa powder and vanilla essence. If you love marshmallows, then add some while serving. Serve it piping hot and I am sure your kids will love it. Increase cocoa and sugar according to your kid’s liking. My daughter loves bitter taste of the chocolate and so I have added lots of cocoa. But if you hate it, then add less and increase sugar. Using a blender to whip it creates a nice foamy hot chocolate. But if you don’t have it you can just skip the step. Do not allow the mixture to boil after you add milk. And keep on stirring to avoid burning the bottom.
Update: I made a video demonstrating the process. Hope you enjoy! Do subscribe to my channel if you like it.
