Sruti was sad that I left only one slice for her but she was also happy that I retained a slice. The mistake I did with this loaf was I sliced it when warm. So the slice looks kind of squishy. But when it was completely cool, the slice turned out perfect. As I baked it during evening, I was afraid that I will not get a decent photo to show you all if it becomes dark. SO in order to take a snap while the sun light was there, I tried to slice it when warm. But I learnt a lesson that day. Never slice a warm bread even though it is a quick bread. Allow it to cool down completely to get nice clean cuts.
Ingredients:
Mashed Bananas-1 cup
Butter-1/2 cup, melted
Brown Sugar-3/4 cup (I used a mix of dark brown and white sugar)
Sour Cream-1/4 cup
Vanilla Essence-1 tsp
Baking Soda-1 tsp
Salt-1/4 tsp
Flour-1 cup
Cocoa Powder-1/2 cup
Choco Chips-1 cup
Procedure:
Preheat oven to 175°C.
In a bowl mash bananas. Make sure there are no lumps.
Add oil, brown sugar and vanilla essence. Mix well.
Add sour cream and mix.
Now add flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking soda.
Mix to form a thick batter.
Add the choco chips and mix to combine.
Transfer batter to a greased 7.5″ * 4.5″ loaf tin and level top.
Bake for 55-65 minutes. A tooth pick inserted would have moist crumbs but should not have wet batter.
Remove from oven and let it sit on wire rack for 10 minutes.
Transfer loaf to wire rack and allow it to cool completely before slicing.
Enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.

Yummy. Chocolate and banana gel together well and the bread is a great way to use those leftover bananas.
I love chocolate but can’t say the same for banana, though I am opening up to the fruit. That double dose of chocolate must have been heavenly!
