Eggless Double Chocolate Banana Bread

  • Mashed Bananas-1 cup
  • Butter-1/2 cup melted
  • cup Brown Sugar-3/4 I used a mix of dark brown and white sugar
  • Sour Cream-1/4 cup
  • Vanilla Essence-1 tsp
  • Baking Soda-1 tsp
  • Salt-1/4 tsp
  • Flour-1 cup
  • Cocoa Powder-1/2 cup
  • Choco Chips-1 cup

Procedure

  • Preheat oven to 175°C.
  • In a bowl mash bananas. Make sure there are no lumps.
  • Add oil, brown sugar and vanilla essence. Mix well.
  • Add sour cream and mix.
  • Now add flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking soda.
  • Mix to form a thick batter.
  • Add the choco chips and mix to combine.
  • Transfer batter to a greased 7.5" * 4.5" loaf tin and level top.
  • Bake for 55-65 minutes. A tooth pick inserted would have moist crumbs but should not have wet batter.
  • Remove from oven and let it sit on wire rack for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer loaf to wire rack and allow it to cool completely before slicing.
  • Enjoy with a cup of coffee or tea.
