Pizza Margherita

Since I completed last month’s Blogging Marathon, I couldn’t even open my blog as Sruti became sick. For two weeks, she was sick on and off and I became so tired due to waking up at night and tending to her. I couldn’t even think of checking my blog for the next week. So I skipped the first week of this month’s BM and am joining by the second week. For the second week, I chose a theme which is the favourite of most of the persons I know. In my house, we never ever visit Pizza Hut or Dominos as I always make it at home. Once we happened to taste a pizza at mall and the very night my hubby and myself had boils all over his tongue which took some time to cure. So we always try to avoid eating pizza outside home. After making mozarella cheese at home, pizza has become even more tastier.

For the theme this week, I tried three types of pizzas on the same day with a single batch of dough and mozarella. As I had some ready made pizza sauce, I didn’t bother to make it at home. But once it is over, I am not buying it again as I am very happy with my home made sauce too. I have made a video on making mozarella cheese at home. If interested, take a look at the video. I hope it will be useful. If you like it, subscribe to my channel.

For the first day, it is the simplest form of pizza. This doesn’t have any extra ordinary topping. Just sauce and cheese and this could be kid’s favourite as it is so plain and simple. And this is the easiest of all pizzas you could make. If you get some fresh baby spinach, top it on the hot pizza and serve. The secreat of getting a well cooked base and soft cheese is by baking it on the lowest rack of your oven. If placed in the middle rack, while the base cooks completely, the cheese tends to go crispy and will not have that softness while serving.
