Nei Puttu

I used to love puttu during my school days. When ever I asked for it, my mom prepared it for me. After marriage, I don’t prepare it often. When hubby went to Dindugal on a trip, there was a hotel famous for nei puttu. They fold it in banana leaves and he would bring it home. It was so soft and fluffy flavoured with ghee. I wanted to try that version at home. Instead of adding sugar I added palm sugar and it came out really nice. Mom never adds ghee in puttu. This is just a variation of both puttu recipes. It tastes great when served warm. Linking this to Kid’s Delight- Warm Foods To Beat The Rain by Pradnya and started by Srivalli.
