Layering Parathas 2

Today I will share another method of layering parathas. This involves cutting the whole rolled out disc into small strips and then stacking them. This is done in the preparation of lacha paratha. You can either use ghee or oil to apply on the rolled out disc. I have used wheat flour for sprinkling but you can also use rice flour. The dough used is the chapathi dough(click to view recipe) which I have posted earlier.

Dust the ball with wheat flour and press it to make it flat.

Roll it into a thin disc and apply ghee on the surface.

Sprinkle wheat flour or rice flour on it.

Cut it into strips of the same width.

Stack each strip on top of other.

Roll the stacked strips into a tight roll.

The finished roll will look like this.

Dust with flour and roll it into a disc of medium thickness. Cook on tawa until both sides are golden.
