For the second day for cooking on tawa, I made this absolutely delicious bread pizza. I made a loaf of bread and it was in the fridge waiting to be used up. I used it to make this. The bread itself was so buttery and soft (recipe coming next month) and when made into this pizza, it tasted amazing. I never thought it would be great, but the combination of paneer, boiled potato and cheese slice over the toasted crispy bread slice with the pizza sauce and ketchup was awesome. I was over the moon when I tasted it. And also I made just three slices, one for each.
Putting together this pizza was the easiest thing I did. I had all the ingredients ready and so it took just 5 minutes for me to arrange them on the slice and cook it. As I made it on tawa, I covered the pizza, so that the heat accumulated would melt the cheese. Cook it on low flame so that the bread doesn’t burn by the time the cheese melts. I have used store bought pizza sauce, but use if you have home made. It would be even tastier. I added some butter to the pan so that the bread slice was so crispy and perfectly toasted. Serve it piping hot direct from tawa. If serving later, heat it and serve. It tastes better when hot.
Thick Bread Slices – 3
Potato – 1, boiled, peeled and cubed
Paneer – 1/2 cup, crumbled
Cheese Slice – 3
Butter – 2 tbs
Spread some pizza sauce on the bread slices.
Top with paneer and boiled potato.
Tear the cheese slice and arrange it on the bread slice.
Heat the tawa, add some butter and place the bread slice, one at a time on the tawa.
Cover and cook on low flame until the bottom is crisp and the cheese is melted.
Drizzle some ketchup on top and serve it immediately.
