From the morning I have been thinking of a name for this dessert but I couldn’t guess one. Don’t be fooled by the looks. I am so bad at capturing this type of dishes, but it is so good. Layers of cake crumbs, a delicious chocolate sauce, whipped cream and butterscotch chips make this a super awesome dessert. Every layer has a different texture and when combined together it creates a great flavour profile in your mouth. And it is so easy to make.

Sky is the limit to all your creativeness you can bring into this layered dessert. I have used the ingredients from my pantry, but you can go with ingredients available for you. This is a perfect dessert for a lazy day when your kid comes home hungry and you just take a minute or two assemble this for her. You can use any cake you want. I even had a banana reserved to be added, but hubby ate it. So no fruits here in the layers. But if you want it colourful, add whichever fruit you have and I am sure it will be amazing. As for the sauce, go for either home made or store bought. I will give the recipe for my sauce below. But store bought syrups also work fine.

Ingredients:
For The Layers:
Cake Scraps
Butterscotch Chips
Whipped Cream
Chocolate Sauce
For The Hot Chocolate Sauce:
Sugar – 1/4 cup
Cocoa Powder – 1/3 cup
Milk – 1/2 cup
Water as needed
Procedure:
For The Sauce:
In a sauce pan mix together sugar, cocoa powder and milk.
Add water to make it thinner.
Bring it to boil.
Simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the sauce becomes slightly thick.
It will continue to go thicker when it cools down. If you are serving it hot, then cook a bit extra. But if you want to serve it at room temperature, aim for a thinner consistency.
Assembling The Dessert:
In a tall glass or a bowl add some cake scraps.
Top it with chocolate sauce.
Add whipped cream and some butterscotch chips.
Repeat layers.
Finish with more chocolate sauce drizzled on top.
Serve it chilled.
