Domino's Style Garlic Bread Recipe

  • Maida/ All Purpose Flour - 2 1/2 + 1/2 cups
  • Sugar-1 tbs
  • Instant Yeast - 1 tsp
  • Salt- 1tsp
  • Olive Oil - 2 tbs
  • Butter - 2 tbs
  • Garlic - 3 whole / 12 pods / 1/4 cup
  • Water - 1 cup
  • tbs Oregano Seasoning 1+ some for sprinkling

Procedure

  • In a bowl mix together 2 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt, grated garlic, oil, butter, oregano seasoning and yeast.
  • Add water and make a sticky dough.
  • Now dust counter with the remaining flour and transfer the dough to counter.
  • Knead it for 10-15 minutes. The dough will be sticky, so keep on using the excess flour for dusting.
  • Use a dough scraper to knead the dough without messing your hand.
  • Once the dough is kneaded, apply some oil in a bowl, place the dough in it and rotate the dough so that oil coats the dough.
  • Cover with cling wrap and set it in fridge for slow rise for 24 hours.
  • Remove the dough from fridge and let it come to room temperature. It may take 2 hours.
  • Preheat oven to 200°C.
  • Now transfer dough to counter, dust with flour and press it to form a disc.
  • Divide it into 4 equal portions.
  • Press each portion into a circle and fold it over to form a semicircle.
  • Grease a tray with butter and sprinkle some oregano seasoning.
  • Place the semi circles on the tray and cover and set aside for 10 minutes.
  • Brush the top with milk and sprinkle the seasoning evenly on top.
  • With a knife, slash lines to make 1" sticks.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  • At the end of baking time, shift the tray to top rack to achieve the golden brown on top.
  • Serve it hot with any cheese dip or as it is.
