Desi Burger Chat Recipe

Ingredients
  

For The Patty

  • Potatoes - 2-3 boiled, peeled and mashed
  • Crumbled Paneer - 1/4 cup
  • Corn Flour - 2 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Red Chilly Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chat Masala Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Corn Flour - 2 tsp
  • Bread Crumbs - 1/3 cup
  • Oil To Fry

For Assembling

  • Burger Buns - 3
  • Sweet Chutney
  • Green Chutney
  • Sweetened Curd
  • Onion Slices
  • Tomato Slices
  • Sev
  • Chat Masala
  • Rock Salt

Instructions
 

Making The Patty

  • In a bowl mix together mashed potatoes, paneer, slat, red chilly powder, cumin powder, chat masala and 2 tsp of corn flour.
  • Mix well and divide into three equal portions.
  • Shape it into a flat patty.
  • Mix the remaining cornflour with a little water to make a thin paste.
  • Place the patty in the corn flour mixture and coat it well.
  • Place the coated patty on bread crumbs and coat the whole patty with it. Corn flour mixture acts as a glue for the bread crumbs.
  • Place the patty on a tawa, drizzle some oil and cook on both sides until golden and crisp.
  • Remove from flame and set aside.

To Assemble The Burger

  • Slice the burger bun into two.
  • Toast the cut sides until golden.
  • Place the bottom portion of the bun on a serving plate.
  • Place some onion slices and sprinkle rock salt and chat masala.
  • Place the patty on top.
  • Add some generous amount of the chutneys.
  • Place the tomato slice and drizzle curd.
  • Sprinkle chat masala and place the top portion of the bun on top.
  • Add some sev to the sides and serve it immediately.
