Paneer Open Sandwich

Ingredients
  

For The Filling

  • Oil-1 tsp
  • Onion-2
  • Tomato-1
  • Turmeric Powder-1/4 tsp
  • Sambar Powder-1 tsp
  • Salt - to taste
  • Crumbled Paneer - 1/4 cup
  • Coriander Leaves to garnish

For The Sandwich

  • Bread Slices - 8
  • Oil-2 tsp

Instructions
 

Procedure

  • Preheat oven to 200°C.
  • In a baking tray, pour oil and spread it out.
  • Place the slices on the tray and rub so that the oil coats the slices.
  • Flip the slices and rub again.
  • Now bake it for 5-7 minutes or until firm to touch. Remove from oven.
  • While the bread is baking, prepare the filling.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add onions and sauté until golden.
  • Add finely chopped tomatoes and stir on medium flame until slightly mushy.
  • Add the sambar powder, turmeric and salt and cook covered for 2 minutes.
  • Add paneer and coriander leaves and mix well.
  • Remove from heat. Divide it into 8 equal portions and top the slices with the filling.
  • Press it down with a spoon.
  • Change the setting to grill. That means, only the top filament must be on.
  • Bake for five minutes or until the edges start browning.
  • Serve them hot.
