Mixed Sprouts Pulao Recipe - Easy One Pot Meal

Ingredients
  

  • Basmati Rice - 1 cup
  • Ghee - 2 tbs
  • Clove-2
  • Cinnamon - a small piece
  • Star Anise-1
  • Onion - 1
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbs
  • Tomato-1
  • Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilly Powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin Powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
  • Mixed Sprouts - 1/2 cup
  • Water - 1.5 cups
  • Salt - to taste

Instructions
 

  • Wash and soak basmati rice for 20 minutes.
  • In a pressure cooker, add ghee and spices.
  • When they crackle add in ginger garlic paste and onions.
  • Saute for a minute or two until the onions are golden.
  • Add in chopped tomato, the mixed sprouts, red chilly powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder and garam masala.
  • On low flame saute for two minutes.
  • Now add drained basmati rice and mix it well.
  • Add water and salt to taste.
  • Once it starts boiling, cover the pressure cooker and wait for three whistles.
  • Switch off flame and wait for the pressure to be down.
  • Open the cooker, give a nice stir, add in chopped coriander leaves and serve immediately.
