Langos Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • All Purpose Flour - 1 cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • Salt - 1/2 tsp
  • Instant Yeast - 3/4 tsp
  • Water - as needed
  • Oil-to deep fry
  • Cheese and butter for topping

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, salt and yeast.
  • Add enough water to make a soft dough.
  • Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  • Cover and set aside for one hour or until double in volume.
  • Divide the dough into three equal portions and shape them into balls.
  • Heat o to deep fry or shallow fry.
  • Roll each ball into a slightly thick round disc.
  • Deep fry them in hot oil until both sides are browned.
  • Top it with garlic butter, grated cheese and basil and serve it immediately.
