Godhumai Gulkandhu Recipe

  • Wheat Flour - 1 1/2 cups
  • Ghee / Clarified Butter - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar- 3/4 cup
  • Milk -1 cup
  • Cashew Nuts - 3 tbs
  • Raisins - 1 tbs
  • Cardamom Powder - 1/2 tsp

Procedure

  • In a heavy bottomed pan, add ghee.
  • Roast the cashews and raisins. Remove from ghee and set aside.
  • To the same pan add the wheat flour and keep on roasting until it is aromatic and turns slightly brown.
  • Add in the sugar, cardamom powder and mix well.
  • Now add milk and keep on stirring until the flour is cooked and the mixture is soft.
  • Add the roasted cashew and raisins and mix well.
  • Serve it hot or at room temperature.
