Sweet Thengai Sevai



  • Instant Sevai - 1 cup
  • Grated Coconut - 1/3 cup
  • Cardamom Powder-1/4 tsp
  • Sugar- to taste
  • Milk To taste optional



  • In a heavy bottomed pan, bring water to boil.
  • Add the sevai and cook for 5-6 minutes or follow pack instructions.
  • Pour into a sieve and drain water completely.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the cooked sevai, grated coconut, cardamom powder and sugar.
  • Transfer to a serving bowl.
  • Top with milk if using and serve immediately.
