8 Amazing Eggless Indian Teacake Recipes to tease your taste buds
Eggless Indian teacakes are becoming so popular nowadays. When I started eggless baking years back, I was teased and only very few fellow bloggers were doing eggless cakes at that time. Sounds like hundred years, but now bakers are definitely understanding eggless baking and I see so many amazing bakers sharing eggless bakes daily in my FB group. Even celebrity bakers are doing it and it makes me really proud of what I am doing for a long time.
To make it easier for the readers, I have compiled eight of my best teacake recipes here. All these cakes are tried and tested numerous times by readers and viewers with amazing results. If you try any of these recipes, please share your cake photos in the comments and let me know. I will be really happy to see how your cake turns out.
Eggless Indian Teacake Recipes Inspiration
I usually get inspired by bakery style cakes. As we grew up eating bakery cakes, I have a fascination towards them. I like the simple plain ones or the ones with buttercream. Not a great fan of cream cakes from bakeries. These tea time cakes I have shared here are the ones I have enjoyed from bakeries as a child and some cakes like paan cake and gulab jamun mix cakes are fusion recipes developed based on some sudden ideas I got. Please read the individual posts to know more about the recipes.

Fruit Cake
One of the easiest of Christmas fruit cakes that is so similar to bakery cake. My hubby is not a very great fan of the fruit cake I make by soaking dry fruits, but this cake made him fall in love with the cake. He nearly emptied the entire plate I gave him. If looking for an easier version, do try this.
Iyengar Bakery Style Mawa Sooji Cake
If you like Iyengar bakery cakes, then this would be perfect for you to try. Without any maida, this cake is made with sooji and mawa, which gives it an amazing rich tender crumb.
Iyengar Bakery Honey Cake
This is one of my favourites from my college days in Mysore. Made with a super soft cake base, soaked in lots of sugar syrup and topped with fruit jam and coconut, this is an easy one to bake.
Gulab Jamun Mix Cake
This is one of my proud creations using that left over gulab jamun mix pack from Diwali. Check out the readers cake photos in the post itself. This has been tried lots of time and each one was outstanding.
Tutti Frutti Cake Slice
Have you tasted Britannia cake slice? Then you would love this because it is so much similar to the cake but without the eggs. The day I made this cake, again hubby cleaned the entire plate of slices I served him. That is how amazing it was.
Vanilla Tutti Frutti Teacake
This is slightly different from the above fruit cake with the addition of brown sugar. that adds a caramel like flavour to the final cake and it is one of my favourite recipes. Look at the texture, it is so soft and light. The best part is, you don’t even need an oven to bake this.
Goan Mawa Cake
Goan style mawa cake is a pretty rich cake and is also slightly denser and makes a great tea time treat. I made this eggless version long back and it has been one of my proudest moments. Again tried and tested a lot of times by readers too.
Meetha Paan Cake
Usually paan is served at the end of the meal and here I am, serving it as the final cake. If you love paan, then you will definitely love this cake. Bursting with paan flavour, this is a more adults cake. Only few kids like this and my daughter is one of them. So make this cake for any party and serve it immediately after the meals. I am sure you will grow your fan base among friends.
I hope you liked these cakes. if you try them, please let me know in comments or you can share them in the Fun with egg free baking group in FB.
