I have been extremely crazy on watching Instagram street food posts lately. And this Pyaar Mohabbat Mazza caught my eye one day. This is available near Jama Masjid in Delhi and is so popular that there are so many videos on instagram. The name itself speaks of loads of love. And it had such a nice ring to it. The street food carts have huge handis filled with milk and a huge block of ice cube floating in it. They slice lots of water melon into it and serve them. When I was doing posts on one country three regional dishes, I chose to make this as part of Indian regional dishes for the third day.
I made this for my sister and her hubby when they visited us. And their kiddo who is just a month to one year loved this and enjoyed a few spoonfuls. No need to say about my daughter’s reaction. She loved it so much and smacked her lips after tasting it. The recipe is pretty easy to make and makes a good welcome drink in parties. Roohafza and milk are mixed and topped with tiny bits of water melon to create this yummy summer cooler. You can also make this with rose milk essence.
Serves Three Persons
Ingredients:
Milk – 3 cups
Rose Milk Essence – 10 – 15 drops
Sugar – 3-4 tbs (or as needed)
Watermelon – One wedge
Procedure:
Mix together boiled milk, sugar and rose milk essence. You can also use roohafza instead.
Mix them well and chill until needed.
Slice watermelon into tiny cubes and chill them too. Add a portion of it in the milk.
While serving pour the chilled milk in three glasses, top with more water melon and serve immediately.
