Jal Jeera is a light beverage made with ingredients that cool the body and it is perfect for the summer. It is hot in Madurai and we are looking at different ways to quench our thirst. I saw this recipe in Harini’s blog and as I am doing bookmarked theme, this recipe would be apt to post. I have never tasted jal jeera until yesterday. I have seen recipes, I have seen the ready made jal jeera powder but have never been tempted to try. But after trying, I feel that I have missed a easy and wonderful recipe.
When I told that I am making a cool drink, my daughter was excited. But I was sceptical because she was not the one who tastes this types of drinks. So after mixing I gave her a spoonful to taste before handing her her glass. For my surprise, she finished off her glass and came back for a second helping. Kids are so hard to judge. They always have some surprise to hit you. But I was so happy that she liked. The recipe is not actually a perfect recipe. The mixing of various ingredients depends so much on individual taste. So I am giving you what I added but feel free to change the proportions according to your taste buds.
