Wishing My Readers A Very Happy Women’s Day
To celebrate this great day, I prepared these pakoras. Kalyani of Sizzling Tastebuds chose two ingredients for her Magic Mingle #3 which are corn and wheat. This is my first attempt at the Magic Mingle Event. This is a very interesting event in which Kalyani selects two ingredients from a list and the members have to try out recipes using those two ingredients as the star ingredients. Today after considering so many possibilities, I tried this. It was little nutty because of the con meal but tasted very nice. Serve it hot along with ketchup or chutney of your choice.
Ingredients:
Corn Meal-1cup
Wheat Flour-1cup
Rice Flour-1/4cup
Baking Powder-1/2tsp
Oil-2tbs(Hot)
Onion-2
Green Chilly-2
Salt-to taste
Oil-to deep fry
Water-1cup
Procedure:
1. Soak corn meal in 1cup of water for 2 hours.
2. Grind it inb a mixer grinder until the meal breaks down into finer particles.
3. In a bowl, add wheat flour, salt, baking powder, onion and green chillies.
4. Mix well. Add hot oil and mix.
5. Now add the corn meal with water to the bowl and knead into a crumbly dough.
6. Heat oil in a pan.
7. Take a ball of the dough and pinch small portions directly onto the oil.
8. Fry until golden.
9. Drain and serve it hot with ketchup and chutney of your choice.
