Recently I posted an eggless cocoa brownie recipe which got so many admiration from readers. Many tried it immediately and gave wrote to me that it was so yum. So I couldn’t resist making a video of the same. This one is loaded with nuts and choco chips and makes a great tea time snack. And guess what, it is so easy to make. Do try this and let me know how you liked it.

Though I was not satisfied with the yesterday’s photos, I am so happy with my today’s brownie recipe and the photos. When I made Eggless Brookies, it gave me an idea for brownies but I never tried it. When the theme brownies was announced, I thought of trying this recipe for a day. I know that the combinations work, but in the brownie pan baked in a tin, I was a little sceptical. But all my doubts cleared when I sliced it and I was so happy to see perfect squares. This went to my daughter’s friends today and she came back with so much of positive feedback from friends. Daughter happy, mom also happy.
For this week’s BM, I have selected a theme my daughter loves, Brownies. I have already posted some brownie recipes and still I am in search of a good recipe. Today I tried a recipe and I should say they came out super gooey. The taste was so good and my daughter gave me a thumbs up but I am not at all satisfied with the look of the brownies. I actually added more batter to the ramekins and they started oozing out of the rim. So the final result is not such a great beauty, but look at the portion in spoon, it is totally good.
From the morning I have been thinking of a name for this dessert but I couldn’t guess one. Don’t be fooled by the looks. I am so bad at capturing this type of dishes, but it is so good. Layers of cake crumbs, a delicious chocolate sauce, whipped cream and butterscotch chips make this a super awesome dessert. Every layer has a different texture and when combined together it creates a great flavour profile in your mouth. And it is so easy to make.
I am so late in posting this week’s recipes, but it is better late than never. We usually don’t plan our holidays. Whenever we plan something, it never happens. So this week, we were little surprised when hubby asked us to pack for a trip. We nagged him about our destination, but he never gave it until we started our journey. It was Coutrallam this year. It is one of the places we have never visited and so both myself and Sruti were super excited. But sadly this was off season and when we reached Coutrallam, the place was deserted. There was no water in the falls. And the hotel where we stayed was also deserted. But still we went to visit the old Coutrallam, which was far from the main place where we were staying. There were hundreds of monkeys and only one vehicle apart from ours.
For all those who are wondering what happened to me, I am still not back to regular blogging but I am fine. I was supposed to do the month long BM this month, but even after preparing nearly 13 posts, I opted out. I think this is called as the blogger’s block. I just don’t want to bake for now. But as I had so many recipes ready, I thought why not do one post atleast for Bread Bakers. For this month, the host Anshie of Spice Roots selected Bread sfrom Italy as the theme. As I had already made a bread but had it in drafts, I felt that it would be good to post it for this occasion.
A good news to share. Sruti has completed her junior school and she is going to high school. Nowadays it is so normal to conduct graduation day for students going from class fifth to high school and it was also conducted in Sruti’s school. They made their graduation day caps and it was a lovely sight watching all the kids walking the stage with their caps on. We had a wonderful time at her school and to celebrate it, I made a graduation day cake for Sruti.
Here comes the next week of Blogging Marathon and I have chosen Easter treats as the theme. At first I was planning for some breads, but I couldn’t make them ahead and on the day of posting, I didn’t want to go for any complicated recipe. When I was browsing through recipes for easter desserts, they are mostly chocolates and I came up with one of my own. I put this together with all the ingredients from my pantry. You can go for any filling you like as this is so versatile.
Black forest cake is one of the hot selling cakes in any bakery. And even the recipe in my blog and YouTube have got a good number of views. Whenever I post cake recipes, I get so many requests for cooker cakes. In India, before OTGs came into normal day to day use, pressure cookers were the ovens for most of the housewives, including my mom. My mom used to add some fine sand in the bottom of a cooker or a cast iron pan and baked cakes in it. The sand used to maintain even heat throughout the pan and so the cake baked will turn out so good. I started pressure cooker baking only after some viewers asked me for the recipe.
