Baharat Powder is the spice powder used in Arab Cuisine. It is a mixture of some flavourful spices and it is used in soups. I used it in chick pea soup which is inspired by Lebanese cooking.

Makes 1/2 cup of Baharat Powder
Black Pepper Corn-1 tbs
Coriander Seeds-1 tsp
Cinnamon-a small piece
Cumin Seeds-1 tsp
Dry Ginger Powder-1 tbs
1. In a pan dry roast all the ingredients for 3-4 minutes until aromatic.
2. Spread it on a plate and allow it to cool.
3. Grind it to a fine powder in a mixer grinder.
4. Store in air tight jar for further use.
